Hope of Motherhood was born from a shared vision: to walk beside mothers in one of the most delicate and powerful seasons of life, offering not only practical resources, but also dignity, beauty, and hope.
The foundation was created by María Galarza, founder of SonoHope and a registered sonographer with more than 20 years of experience. Known for her gentle hands, compassionate spirit, and faith-driven mission, María has dedicated her life to serving mothers and families from the very first heartbeat.
Joining her is Oswar Nieves, the creative heart behind Oswar Photography, an award-winning maternity and newborn photographer. Through his lens, Oswar has captured the strength, tenderness, and sacred beauty of motherhood, turning fleeting moments into eternal treasures.
Together, they united their callings — medicine and art, science and storytelling, faith and family — to bring Hope of Motherhood to life. This foundation is more than a nonprofit; it is a movement of love, where every baby is clothed with dignity, every mother is uplifted with faith, and every family is embraced with community and hope.
